🗂️ Collapse Time Columns into Months and Quarters

What's new

Merchandise Plan can now group your time columns by period. Weeks sit under their month and months under their quarter, and you can fold any period down to its total. Turn it on for a view from Grid Options.

What you can do

Turn on grouping for a view:
Open the views panel, go to Grid Options and click
Show Column Grouping

Collapse a period to its total:
Click the arrow next to a month or quarter. ⌘/Ctrl-click does the same for the other months of that quarter, and ⇧⌘/⇧Ctrl-click for every month.
Hide a period's total:
Click the eye on an open month or quarter to hide its total while you work through the weeks. The same shortcuts apply.
Keep the layout:
Grouping, collapsed periods and hidden totals are saved with the view.

Why it helps

See a full season and the weeks you're planning in the same view, without changing your time groups.
Fewer columns to scroll past when you only need one month's weeks.
Everyone who opens the view sees it the way you saved it.
