You can now lock an Allocation Strategy so that re-seeding it from Assortment Plan no longer overwrites your work.
Why it matters
Until now, re-seeding a choice that already had a strategy overwrote everything you had set up in Allocation: locations, minimum presentation, safety stock, curves, and profiles. Allocators risked losing their work whenever a plan was re-seeded.
What's new
  • A new
    Lock Seeding
checkbox at the Allocation Strategy level. Check it to protect the strategy.
  • Seeding now shows what will happen before you confirm, for example:
Allocation strategies: 1 new, 1 updating, 1 locked.
  • Locked strategies keep all of their settings. Unlocked strategies update as before. New choices get a fresh strategy.
  • Your forecast is untouched: locking freezes only your strategy settings, so your sales plan keeps refreshing on each allocation run as it always has.
  • You can still edit a locked strategy at any time; uncheck
    Lock Seeding
    to allow a full re-seed.
