πŸ“¦ Pack Ordering

What's new
Toolio can now turn a Recommended Purchase Order's size-level demand into
prepacks
β€” pre-defined bundles of units across sizes β€” plus a
singles
remainder for whatever the packs can't cover cleanly. Build a catalog of packs, tell Toolio which packs apply to each choice, and let Toolio work out how many of each pack to buy.
What you can do
  • Build a pack catalog
β€” Create generic size-ratio packs or SKU-bound case packs under Settings β†’ Configuration β†’ Intelligence β†’ Packs, add custom attributes, and load them in bulk with the CSV importer.
  • Assign packs to a choice
β€” A new Packs tab on each choice shows the packs that apply. SKU-bound packs are matched to their product automatically but start excluded, so you include the ones you want; attach generic packs with Add Existing.
  • Optimize a PO into packs
β€” A new Pack Optimization step in the PO wizard converts size-level demand into whole packs plus a singles remainder, always choosing the packs that meet demand with the least over-buy.
  • Control the fill
β€” Per PO line, set Allow Singles, Demand Considered %, and Total Demand Overage % (set it to 0 for zero over-buy) to steer how far Toolio rounds up.
  • Review and adjust
β€” Fine-tune pack counts by hand and re-run anytime; a stale hint flags when demand changed. Open the Pack Optimization Summary for fit, overage, and underage per choice.
Why it helps
  • Buy the way your vendors ship β€” in packs β€” instead of translating loose units into cartons by hand.
  • Meet demand with the least overage, and see exactly what falls to singles and why.
  • Cut warehouse handling by receiving pre-packed size assortments.
