What's new
Toolio can now split a Recommended Purchase Order across warehouses based on demand. Assign the new
System Recommended
split profile to a PO line and Toolio works out how many units each warehouse should receive, using the planned demand of the stores it fulfills and the stock it already has on hand or on order.

What you can do
  • Pick System Recommended on the Split PO step:
the new profile is pinned at the top of the split profile list on every PO line. Your fixed-percentage profiles work exactly as before.
  • Split by demand:
Toolio attributes each store's planned demand to the warehouse that fulfills it, so a warehouse's share of the order reflects what its stores are planned to sell.
  • Net out stock on hand and on order:
before splitting, Toolio subtracts what each warehouse is projected to hold at the order's start date: current inventory, plus units arriving on open POs, minus planned sales until then. The order covers the gap.
  • Save and keep working:
the calculation runs in the background. Toolio tells you when it starts, and when it finishes you can jump straight back to the Split PO step to review the results. While it runs, Save, Approve, Issue, and Optimize Packs are paused with a tooltip explaining why.
  • See which lines were skipped:
lines Toolio couldn't split, for example with no planned demand in the window, are marked with a warning on the line items grid so you can handle them by hand.
  • Keep splits fresh as you edit:
change units or dates on a line that uses System Recommended and Toolio recalculates its split on your next save.
Why it helps
  • Warehouse quantities follow your plan instead of fixed percentages you maintain by hand.
  • You buy the gap: stock already sitting at a warehouse, or already heading there, reduces what the order sends it.
  • No waiting on big documents: the calculation runs in the background while you keep planning.
